The best song’s have more than just one verse, don’t they?

The best song’s not only have more than one verse, but a killer chorus that bounces around in your head like a bullet ricocheting around in a steel encased room.

But we don’t believe it!

We know it, know that the song has multiple verses, might even be able to sing through everyone of them like a long Dylan song gone amok, but we just don’t believe it–or at least act like we believe it.

The Apple commercial with Robin Williams, borrows his speech from his role in Peter Weir’s 1989 film, DEAD POET’S SOCIETY. In the film, Williams plays a teacher who inspires some pretty rigid academy students with his unorthodox teaching methods and passion for poetry. Williams ends the commercial with his oft-quoted line from the film:

“THE POWERFUL PLAY GOES ON AND YOU MAY CONTRIBUTE A VERSE. WHAT WILL YOUR VERSE BE?”

See, you missed it again, didn’t you?

“. . .and YOU may contribute a V E R S E. . . .”

Did you catch it, yet?

“…YOU MAY CONTRIBUTE A VERSE….”

Let me ask it another way:

ARE YOU JUST A VERSE TO BE ADDED?

Pssssst: N O !

We are VERSES with may different refrains and our song not only needs to be played, sung and listened to, but actually HEARD!

The song has different rhythms and beats throughout our lives and they’re all absolutely perfect for those individual moments.

Let your verse be played, sung, and heard as you continue to add notes, lyrics, and new meanings.

Get toes to tapping, and fingers snapping, and heads bobbing and tongues rapping and lungs gasping, shouting for your VERSES…let’em anticipate the next line, the next word, the next verse that just won’t merely add to the song, but make it more meaningful!

Never be satisfied or FINISHED just by adding Your Verse when you’ve got outstanding verses yet to be added. . .

. . .and, and the best ones are the ones, you’ve yet to be aware, let alone Sing!
