We all think of it and more. . .we all wish for it from time to time, don’t we?

No Correction: REAL MAGIC!

I conducted the funeral of a Magician, first and only time.

As far as funerals go, there wasn’t anything too special about it.

I always attempt to do the same thing for every funeral I conduct: CELEBRATE the Person’s Life.

There’s always different ways to celebrate anyone’s life: Stories, Music, Photo’s, Videos, Art, Poetry and sometimes a mixture of all of those elements together.

What made this service the same and different at the same time was a group of his peers coming forward in the middle of his service, to sort of do their own service, their own homage to there fellow Magician.

No pun, intended, there was no real Hocus-Pocus or Abracadabra kinds of things; no slight of hand or disappearing acts but I’ll never forget the last line they said in unison:

“THE MAGIC HAS NOW ENDED. . .AND JUST BEGUN!”

With that, they passed a Magician’s Wand from one to the other and the last Magician handed the Wand, broke it in half and placed in the casket.

This was several years ago on a Sunday night. I don’t remember the Deceased’s name or the exact date. I can’t recall any family member or any other person in attendance…yet I can’t forget that line, that final act of a small group of Magicians honoring their colleague.

Magic?

Maybe the purest magic there is, isn’t what you watch on TV or out in Vegas while on vacation, but the Real Magic that takes place day to day between individuals…each of us daring to believe, care that what can happen between us can’t always be measured, charted, examined or yes, explained!

Isn’t this the Real Magic we’re always in search of? Isn’t this the kind of Real Magic, that when experienced, can’t help to be benefited, shared, sought after again and again and again?

It’s always worth repeated and more, RE-MEMBERING:

The greatest, most Real Magic in the World isn’t Love!

Sure, it may make the World go round and it may make you feel light headed and see stars, but make no mistake about it!

The Greatest, Real Magic in the World is Love, Shared!

Go ahead, receive the Magic. Benefit. Share it again and again and again.

Maybe the Greatest Real Magic after all is Receiving, Benefiting, Sharing it numerous times and NOT being able to want to do it all over again INFINITUM!
