Dead Poet’s Society, 1989.
Some say the movie is timeless and that it should be a requirement for Teachers before teaching their first class.
Maybe that’s selling it completely short and putting it into a $1.00 or under re-sell bin at a rummage sale.
The story in 1989, 2014, and most like in 2089 will never be about teaching or learning or living or dying.
Truly–it’s about you!
We live every day NEVER as if it’s our last day, or our best day, or our most important day.
We live every day as if it’s just another day and literally would become the most shocked people in the world if it was our very last day.
Yes, oh yes, we know we’re going to die. We know that we know it; we’d bet our very lives on our very best day, that we know it. . .but for the very life of us, we never act as if we EVER know it!
We’d all do best to lean in. . .to hear once again the hushed, shouted, ever sure Whispered-but-severe-Truth: C A R P E D I E M. . .SEIZE THE DAY. . .MAKE YOUR LIVES EXTRAORDINARY. . . .
Before becoming yet another Passer-By, becoming a deli for worms, LIVE!
Hear,
Understand,
Define,
Re-Define,

The Ultimate Hmmmmmmm of the day: IF I LIVE UNTIL I DIE, I’LL STILL DIE, IF I GIVE UNTIL I DIE…the worms will have to wait for a very, very long time!
Let’em. . .
pass you by. . . .
